LOGHM wasn't always LOGHM. As a matter of fact, LOGHM had a few different names before I settled on this one. It was called Tar Man at one point. Saint FuckFace was another. Liebestoter. A bunch of awful names - and to accompany them, a few less than stellar songs. So, thus, I give you Before The Lights Went Out.
Tracks 1 & 2 are songs that were finished for Tar Man. One of them is just an intro track.
Tracks 3 & 4 were done for Liebestoter.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any Saint FuckFace material, even though I know I finished a song or two. One was called "Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers." It might be for the best that it's gone forever.
Track 5 is the first song that was ever done for Lights Out, God Help Me. I still kinda like it.
It's funny how things don't change, even when they do. You can hear a lot of the same sort of ideas that I still use today (like, thirteen or fourteen years later.) Fake guitars running amok, sampling movies, four/four kicks that never change.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed digging these fossils up.
